Will A Group Of Fractional GeoDomainers Emerge With America.com?

It is going to be interesting to see what happens with the auction of America.com when it concludes tomorrow, May 29th, at GreatDomains.com. As of 1:30 p.m. Eastern time today, with 1 day and 30 minutes remaining in the auction, 8 bids had been posted, with the high bid of US$1,050,000 not having met the reserve price. Will the domain sell, and, if so, who will the buyer(s) be? Will the buyer be an individual, a company, or perhaps a group of Fractional GeoDomainers?

As a potential umbrella URL for many geographical subdivisions and a myriad of other topics and keywords, America.com could certainly be attractive to a group of investors who come together to make each investor's contribution more palatable. For example, fifty Fractional Domainers contributing $30,000 each would enable a bid of $1.5 million. Assembling such a group would not necessarily be easy, and who knows how high a successful bid would need to be... but the Fractional Domaining possibilities for America.com are certainly intriguing!
